Welcome to our website

informationWelcome friends, old and new, to our newly revamped British Gamers website. A special thank you to BG Hainesy, BG Macster, BG Blackbird, BG Beanz and BG Scarlett for their input and making this website what it is.

British Gamers is an online clan on the Xbox 360 where good, sensible people come to play friendly, competetive and lag free games. We currently have over 300 members with over 10 members fully tagged up BG members and around 30 tagged up with the old BDR tag (which we are in the process of changing to BG) who go that extra mile in showing their allegiance by actually tagging up with BG on the front of their gamertags.

A brief history of British Gamers. We have been running now for well over 3 years, actually forming on the 10th of April 2007, and it all started with a simple vision - allowing friends to congregate and play together in friendly but competitive games, providing a place (the forum) for people to discuss and plan events such as tournaments and to provide a hub for members to get points of view, ask questions and to recommend games/products. We are an Xbox 360 only clan but many of our members own other consoles.

We are currently looking into reforming our GameBattles clan to take on the best at games such as CoD Modern Warfare 2, Forza 3 and Fifa 10 amongst others. At present we have a Fifa 10 team entered on the YourFifaLeague website and that team is Barnsley. If you want to join any of our online clan teams please leave a request on the forum.

We have a rich and diverse band of gamers playing with us. Banter is a given but, importantly, doesn't cross the line and abusive behaviour vented towards members will not be tolerated. All ages are welcome but please try to act mature and you will get on fine with us. The main criteria is that you enjoy our company when playing on Xbox Live.

We have a very simple but effective joining policy in place - First of all you should register to our forum through the link at the top of the page, then place a post in the "Introduce Yourself" thread describing yourself and the games you like to play. After that fire off a few friend requests to the more established members who will be tagged up with BG with a message saying your new to the clan and would like to join in for a game. To find a BDR member have a look at the BG Hainesy gamertag and look on his friends list which will show you all the tagged up members and who's playing what. Once you have played awhile with us you may request to tag up if you wish, and that is done as follows - By this time you will have made friends with one or more of the tagged up members. All you have to do is ask one or more of those tagged up members to put in a request to one of the admin for you to tag up and the matter will be discussed. Assuming there's no problems, one of the admins will get back to you with permission to join as a fully tagged up member and then it is up to you to change your gamertag. Obviously we can't stop people tagging up with BG but they won't be considered full members until this criteria has been fulfilled.
