They haven’t even released the 80gb PS3 yet and they are already saying there will be a 160gb PS3 soon, around Haloween time according to my sources.
It has been set to cost about 449 EUR which is rougly about 350 GBP. Knowing what usuall happens though, there is a good chance that it’ll be higher than that for some European reason.
This is a guess but the 160gb will more than likely be like the 80gb and 40gb PS3’s - missing PS2 backwards compativbily and USb ports etc.
This could be useful for their soon to be released ‘PlayTV’ which is a kind of like TV PVR thing for the PS3. However It’d be cheaper for the current PS3 owner to just upgrade they’re HDD themselves.
It will be interesting if Sony has anything else on the agenda other than bigger HDD’s for heavens sake!
After viewing the gaming blog www.britishgaming.co.uk I couldn’t help but notice this video.
What did those poor lil’ (okay BIG) XBOX’s do? I would have preffered it if they did a contest for hurling faulty 360’s with RROD’s! LOL. Right laugh though even though they may be hurling debug xbox’s.
Anyways, consider visiting www.britishgaming.co.uk, it is an excellent blog with some very erm.. funny authors.
So, the 60GB 360 was released today and the 80gb PS3 is to be released soon.
The 60GB Xbox 360 will replace the 20GB 360 and the 80GB PS3 will replace the 40GB PS3.
From what I have seen, there are no differences bar HDD size, which from my point of view is rather dissapointing, mainly on the PS3 as I was hoping that it would be similar to the 60gb PS3.
So it seems only difference is HDD space I’m afraid folks, not great news for the PS3 but for the 360, you’ll actually have some space left out of the 8 or so gig’s the 360 swallows.
I would imagine shops will start to clear out remaining stock of the old models for a cheap price, which would be great for somebody out to get a PS3 on the cheap. Hopefully.
As we all know when Rock Band was originally released over here, there was speculation over how much more it was going to cost than the US version.
£180 with game? Yes it was a dear do.
Well guess what? They are releasing a new one! They are very close to finishing it although it will more than likely be a few months away before they release it.
Thankfully all instruments from Rock Band 1 will work with Rock Band 2. Which is a good thing for those who own Rock Band 1.
The full track list contains a few (relative) unknowns, but the inclusion of Motorhead’s Ace of Spades, Foo Fighter’s Everlong, RHCP’s Give it Away, Metallica’s Battery, Bon Jovi’s Livin’ on a Prayer and The Who’s Pinball Wizard is enough to make any rock fan pre-order immediately.
Sounds like an interesting track list to me. Rock on Rock Band - just lose some fat first (PRICEWISE) lol.
